The Toshiba Satellite P, L and C800 series release date will coincide with that of the Windows 8 OS as well as the U series Ultrabooks’, the prices of which have been disclosed along with the aforementioned devices. All of these laptops are powered by the latest Microsoft operating system and gain steam from the third generation Intel Core processors.
First up is the P800 series devices that are deployed with the Intel Rapid Start technology and can support up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Users can configure them with a 750GB hard drive, an LED backlit keyboard as well as Nvidia GeForce GT 630M graphics with Optimus technology. The stylish yet durable, silver-colored laptops employ harman/kardon stereo speakers and SRS Premium Sound 3D for an improved acoustic experience. They come in screen configurations of 15.6, 17.3 and 14 inches.
The Toshiba Satellite L800 series is inclusive of notebooks with 15.6- and 17.3-inch TruBrite displays and can be integrated with either Intel Core i5 processors or AMD A-Series APUs along with up to 4GB RAM. Capable of supporting a hard drive of up to 640GB, these Wi-Fi-enabled devices have a built-in DVD drive and its specifications list features an HDMI connector as well as USB 3.0 ports. The 15.6-inch L950 series customizable laptops can be incorporated with a 750GB hard drive as well as up to 6GB of RAM.
Furthermore, the Satellite C800 series laptops based on the Windows 8 platform, can work with both the Intel Core i3 processors and the AMD E-series APUs. It gives users the option to customize the devices with up to 8GB of RAM and a 750GB hard drive too. The mercury silver-colored portable computers are complete with Bluetooth, an HDMI output and USB 3.0 ports. They will be available in screen sizes of 15.6 and 17.3 inches.
The 15.6-inch Toshiba Satellite P series laptops can be pre-ordered for $799.99, while the 17.3-inch and 14-inch versions will set users back by $929.99. The L series 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch variants and L950 carry tags that read $629.99, $579.99 and $579.99, correspondingly. The 15.6-inch C855 and 17.3-inch C875 will retail for $379.99 and $499.99, respectively. They will start shipping on October 26.
