A lot of ink has been spilled over the so called “war of the game consoles”, with Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 as the contenders. Looking at sales figures, it seems that the Wii outdid the other two game consoles. However, the console that actually won the votes of the public is probably Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
Some people would rather buy a Sony PlayStation 2 these days. This may sound rather surprising, or maybe not so, as the three next-generation consoles each have their very own pros and cons. Take a look at this awesome unbiased video which shows the good and the bad sides of each of the next-gen consoles.
The Xbox 360 seems to top the list as it has awesome graphics, a good Xbox Live Internet connection and a great set of game titles as well. However, the price may put some people off.
The PlayStation 3 also has great graphics and connecting live to the PlayStation Network is free for all. The price again may put some off; however, we feel that all those who actually went and braved it out in the never ending queues on the launch day were seriously a bunch of eager PS3 fanboys.
Lastly, the Wii, which surprisingly topped game console sales, offers a great deal of interactivity and intuitiveness, however, its graphics cannot be compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Wii has thus come to be known as a novelty console, and of course another method to lose those extra calories.
