With its big widescreen display, the size of which is implied by its name itself, the LG G Pad 10.1 has begun its global rollout finally. This tablet has been granted a number of software features which were introduced by LG through its G3 flagship smartphone.
These include Dual Window which lets you access two applications in a simultaneous manner, Smart Keyboard which learns from your writing habits, Touch & Shoot which lets you tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture and many more. Apart from that, there’s of course the LG Knock Code trait which is finding its way into every other device from the company.
Unveiled at the MedPi 2014 trade show in Monaco, the new G Pad range consists also of 7-inch and 8-inch models, but their availability has been kept on hold for the time being. In the coming weeks, the 10.1-inch version will be making its debut in the US, following which it will find its way into Europe, Asia and Latin America. Prices will vary with the regions.

The new LG G Pad range was preceded by an 8.3-inch tablet of the same name which had grabbed quite some attention for being the company’s comeback vehicle into the tablet arena. And with the new range having been unveiled this year, we won’t be surprised to see annual refreshes hitting the series.
