New Google Nexus 7 price, specs and images get the rumor mill running

New Google Nexus 7

The new Google Nexus 7 may not have been a part of the I/O, but speculations are that it will surface through the tech giant’s upcoming event on July 24, while a few reports have also spied on its price. According to a certain store’s internal documents, the 7-inch tablet’s refreshed version will be sold at $269.99 and the first stock should arrive in the outlet by the 20th of this month.

The retail value will be applicable to the 32GB model and the documents have spilled out no details pertaining to a 16GB variant, as implied by a post on Engadget. It seems the new Google Nexus 7 will co-exist with the old one in the market, probably till the latter’s stock runs out.

Well, there’s more. The new Nexus 7 has been captured in a flurry of images rendered by the folks over at Android Central who have remarked that the slate may or may not be a prototype. Tagging along is what appears to be a log of the device’s technical specifications, but there’s no saying if these will make it into the final product.

Leaked Store Inventory

Although the upcoming Nexus 7 will most likely come with a 7-inch LCD screen like its predecessor, it seems to have adopted a fresh approach by welcoming dual cameras on its frame. The tablet might offer refuge to a 5MP shutter on its flip side, while a 1.2MP webcam may be found sharing space with the display.

From what can be gathered, the slate records system memory of 4GB helping a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset to carry out the operations. But interested parties should hold their horses because this is a pretty unusual notion for a feature. And finally, Android 4.3 might set out on its first trip along with the upcoming gadget.

Moreover, Android Central has not only given some credence to the price of the new Nexus 7 which was delivered by Engadget, but has also added that the 16GB unit will be pegged at $229.
