Lava Z7C+ price in India set at Rs 8,499

Lava Z7C+

The Lava Z7C+ price in India has been set at Rs 8,499, it sports voice calling in a portable slate form factor. Also known as the Connect+ tablet, the device is the follow-up to the previous Lava e-Tab Connect and Z7S which are currently available for a price of Rs 7,499 and Rs 6,399, respectively.

The Z7C+ is touted to have voice calling, but what’s worth mentioning is that its press image which is embedded above, shows no sign of an earpiece. This could mean that buyers will need to cough up the cost for an audio accessory if they want voice communication over cellular frequencies. Unlike other tablets from the manufacturer, the Z7C+ disappoints when it comes to features.

While the earliest version of Jelly Bean is on the verge of going outdated, Lava has opted to throw in an even older edition of the Android platform, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. And if those weren’t enough, the slate employs a single core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1GHz and 512MB of RAM. A 7-inch screen graces the front along with a 0.3MP webcam and there’s a 2MP camera on the rear.

Along with 4GB of ROM and a microSD card slot, the tablet is fitted with a 3000mAh battery. The Z7C+ comes with a full set of connectivity features as well. Apart from Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and GPS modules, buyers will have USB 2.0 (no confirmation of OTG support as yet) as well as GPRS, EDGE and 3G cellular support.

The Z7C+ Connect+ tablet hasn’t been officially unveiled by Lava, but it’s available for purchase in the country through Flipkart for a price of Rs 8,499.
