The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which was released in the US through T-Mobile and some other carriers was for some reason, devoid of its Multi Window feature. While Sprint has already released it in the form of a software update, it’s now the above mentioned network provider’s turn to do the same. Tomorrow will see the company releasing this update Over The Air (OTA) and via Kies. While it will of course contain the Multi Window functionality, there will also be a few bug fixes which will be infused into it.
Different tasks can be performed at the same time by users who employ the Multi Window feature on their devices, letting them make the most of its 5.55-inch display. To activate it, all they need to do is long-press the back button which brings in a menu rendering applications that can be opened in windowed mode. There are a number of different ways this trait can be used. The update which T-Mobile will be launching for the Galaxy Note 2 tomorrow will also include bug fixes.
One of them is for the phone’s inability to display exchange calendar events on its native Calendar. Moreover, a fix will even be granted for the issue due to which users have been unable to swipe through Gmail messages. The device in question was launched by the network provider in October this year, and is available to purchase now through a number of other carriers as well.
It main highlight is the 5.55-inch Super AMOLED HD screen which sits pretty on its 5.94” x 3.16” x 0.37” body. Powered by a 1.6GHz quad core processor, this handset comes installed with Google’s Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. Its back houses an 8MP camera, whereas, on its front lies a 1.9MP snapper. The device’s 3100mAh battery produces enough juice for it to render almost 15 hours of talk time and 12 days worth of standby time. It comes coupled with an S Pen stylus which is meant to exploit various exclusive features the phone ships with.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Multi Window update will start being rolled out from tomorrow onwards. It will be downloadable Over The Air (OTA) as well as through Kies.
