T-Mobile has been quick to spin the LG G2 novelty to its advantage. The carrier has already hopped around to announcing that it will be adding this smartphone as well as the LG Optimus F3 and Optimus F6 to its portfolio. The F3 can be grabbed starting from today for a tempting promotional price of $0 upfront, $10 monthly payments for the hardware from there onwards as well as a Simple Choice Plan.
If you’re considering laying hands on the device, here’s a peek at its main features – Android 4.1.2 and a 1.2GHz dual core processor run the show. A modest 5MP camera is perched on the rear panel, a VGA front lens sits above the 4-inch display and an in-built microSD card slot takes the hoarding capacity up to 32GB. But we’ve already mentioned most of this before. If it’s LG’s Optimus F6 you’re eying, the launch date and price have yet to be revealed.
The F6 has a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen and a 5MP BSI sensor. Its talking point is apparently the latter which has been dressed with some special LG tricks. Users can look forward to Time Catch Shot, Smart Shutter and Voice Shutter while clicking pictures through this snapper. The VuTalk collaborative communication software, QSlide, QuickMemo, Wi-Fi calling and NFC will also be on the menu. Touching upon the smartphone of the hour, the G2 has everyone doing away with the Optimus name calling.
– LG G2 features, specifications and release window
It sports the power button and volume rockers on its back in keeping with LG’s Rear Key concept. Here are two great ideas to go with – when a handset has a form factor which is inconveniently large, manufacturers must not stop themselves from introducing even larger successors and still calling these hybrids instead of just small tablets. Secondly, the ‘awkwardly placed’ side keys can then be shifted to the back so users have no trouble switching on the device, adjusting its volume and more.
Yet again, T-Mobile hasn’t come clean on the pricing plans and release date for the LG G2. So stay tuned for updates.
