Swipe F-Band fitness tracker launched at Rs 1499

Swipe F-Band

The Swipe F-Band has been launched in India, marking the brand’s first foray into the rapidly expanding wearables segment in the country. The device is priced at Rs 1499 and is set to be sold exclusively via Snapdeal.

Under a special deal, the first 100 buyers of the Swipe F-Band get to purchase the product at Rs 1299. Registrations for the wearable are open now on Snapdeal. It will be up for grabs starting from January 7. Like other fitness bands in the market, the new product offers features such as a step counter and sleep tracker.

The F-Band further analyses a person’s sleep quality and provides suggestions on how to improve it. The gadget records a user’s daily activities and provides information such as the number of calories they have burned during the course of a day. The India-based company has also introduced a new app which can pair with the device through Bluetooth.

The application is capable of storing up to a year’s worth of data about the individual’s health and sleep patterns. Syncing with a smartphone also allows users to be alerted when they receive a call. Going into the unit’s other specs, Swipe has equipped it with a 55mAh battery. The powerhouse can supposedly keep the device running for up to 7 days.

The F-Band will be up against other budget fitness trackers like the Mi Band. The Xiaomi gadget is cheaper at Rs 999 and comes with similar features when compared with the Swipe offering. While it doesn’t have a screen, it does promise to last for 30 days on a single charge and protect itself against dust and water.

Like we mentioned above, the Swipe F-Band is up for registrations over at Snapdeal. You can buy it for Rs 1499 on January 7.
