Sprint Vital

Following the leak earlier this month, the Sprint ZTE Vital release date has been set and the carrier will make the handset available at an affordable rate with quite interesting features. This new phone from ZTE is aimed towards the budget-minded looking for a slice of high-end goodies without going heavy on the wallet.

The ZTE Vital is designed with the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 platform onboard. The carrier points out that the UI will be pretty much stock Android, delivering a similar experience found in Nexus devices. This allows users to customize the handset to their liking. Of course, preloaded services from Sprint will be present, such as ID, Zone, TV and Music Plus. To show off the capabilities of the affordable smartphone, the provider states that it can smoothly run Real Racing 3 from EA. Additionally, the game will arrive bundled with the handset.

Front

Apart from connectivity options like Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth, the ZTE Vital is 4G LTE compatible and it supports mobile hotspot over 3G HSPA as well. Coming to the design, it measures 142mm x 71.40mm x 9.95mm in dimensions and weighs 154 grams. Visuals are delivered through a break-resistant 5-inch HD IPS touchscreen which is accompanied by a 1MP webcam on the front. Head over to the rear, and buyers will find a 13MP AF camera with LED flash.

The innards of the ZTE Vital are designed with mid-range hardware components. There’s a dual core MSM8960 processor from Qualcomm clocked at 1.5GHz to do the heavy lifting. On the memory front, users will have 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB. With the 2500mAh Li-ion battery fully charged, the device will be capable of delivering up to 15 hours of talktime.
