The Sprint LG Viper 4G LTE will be seen surfacing at the carrier’s pre-order zone on April 12. The availability date has not been spelt out clearly, but it can be expected to arrive ‘later this month’ through Sprint, RadioShack and Best Buy.
Besides being LG’s first 4G LTE capable handset on Sprint, it tags along a host of features for eager beavers out there. The Gingerbread powered smartphone comes draped with a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display and fits in a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. There is a front facing VGA snapper, while strapped onto its back is a 5MP one.
“Today’s world is moving extremely fast and the lines between personal time and work continue to blur,” states Tim O’Brien, vice president of marketing for LG Mobile. “LG understands consumers’ need for better tools that allow them to multitask without sacrificing what’s most important to them, especially when it comes to their families. LG Viper gives parents the tools they need to manage their everyday lives while breaking down the barriers that technology can often create between them and their children – all at a great value.”
The handset wraps in a 4GB microSD card and it extends support for up to 32GB of external memory. The NFC enabled device also happens to be complete with the Google Wallet attribute and brings along 50GB of free cloud storage from Box. It flaunts a number of eco-friendly qualities and is even capable of serving as a hotspot for up to five Wi-Fi enabled gadgets.
The Sprint LG Viper 4G LTE price is stamped at $99.99 with a new two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate.
