Spice Stellar 509 on sale now at Rs 7,999, packs 5-inch screen and 8MP camera

Spice has just launched a new budget handset in India in the form of the Stellar 509. It has been priced by the company at Rs 7,999, and adhering to the latest trend of selling devices exclusively through certain online portals, this one too has chosen to land only at Home Shop 18.

The Stellar 509 a dual SIM smartphone if you’re wondering. It’s got a 5-inch display onboard to offer visuals in an FWVGA resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The device is fueled by a quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz which takes assistance from 1GB worth of RAM.

The fact that it runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS might prove to be a downside with other players like Motorola, Micromax and Lava having already started offering KitKat-based devices at similar price points. Moreover, its 2000mAh Li-ion battery is said to be good for just 4 hours of talktime.

This smartphone features an 8MP rear camera which is complemented by a 2MP front snapper. That it kicks in 4GB of internal storage and support for expansions of up to 32GB is no surprise.

Like we said, Home Shop 18 is exclusively offering the Spice Stellar 509 now at the above mentioned price tag of Rs 7,999.
