Soundmatters foxLO Subwoofer

With the launch of the Soundmatters foxLO hi-fi subwoofer, the compact foxLv2 line of loudspeakers is likely to deliver much deeper bass levels and receive an added amplification boost. This palm-sized device is scheduled to make its first appearance at the CES 2012.

Built for devices such as the iPad, iPhone and various others, the foxLO subwoofer employs the patented Linear Magnetic Drive woofer technology that’s accompanied by a proprietary passive radiator system and 25 watts of amplification. Through these components, the portable subwoofer is said to enhance the audio output and bass levels of the pocket-sized foxLv2 speaker lineup. Additionally, it’s compatible with both Bluetooth and non-Bluetooth models of the aforementioned device series.

“While people are amazed at the overall performance and bass of our little foxL by itself, coupling it with the new foxLO sub creates a truly remarkable full-range system portable enough for any traveling audio-lover,” commented, Lee Adams, Vice President at Soundmatters.

The audio system can be used to enhance the sound quality of the foxLv2 through the latter’s subwoofer output slot or any other audio system by simply connecting it to a 3.5mm port. Furthermore, the gadget is equipped by a USB-A socket for charging devices such as the foxL, Jambox, iPhone and many more. In terms of dimensions, it reads at 2.5” x 4.5” x 6.3” and weighs around 651 grams. The entire package comprises of an 18V power supply adapter and a 1.8 meter audio cable.

The price of the Soundmatters foxLO is $149. This palm-sized device is expected to be available for purchase sometime during spring this year through online retail stores such as ListenUp, Crutchfield, Amazon and the company’s website.
