At the IFA in Berlin, Sony will be taking the veil off its new Xperia Z5 range of smartphones which will be made available in the form of three different options. The Z5 Premium will be their top-end variant, and a video showcasing this highly advanced device has surfaced now.
As we had heard from a previous leak, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is expected to come fitted with a 5.5-inch UHD display. That’s a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at more than 800ppi. Most of us don’t have TV sets of that resolution; let alone smartphones.
Anyway, that is the story of the Premium variant, as has been revealed by Sony Mobile France’s Marketing Director to Clubic in the video posted down below. According to translations acquired by the unofficial Xperia blog, this phone will even offer a 23MP main camera.
This snapper is boasting of offering the fastest autofocus in the market at 30 milliseconds. It is also expected to make its way onto the normal Z5 variant and the Z5 Compact. These devices have reportedly grabbed 5.5-inch 1080p full HD and 4.6-inch 720p HD displays, respectively.
All three handsets from Sony’s new range of flagships will come fitted with fingerprint scanners. These will be placed on their power buttons, making them the first smartphones to do so. All three are expected to offer 2-day battery life, although it’s a bit hard to believe that a device with a 4K display will be able to do that.
September 2 is when the Sony Xperia Z5 range is most likely to be unveiled, as the company will be holding an event on the said date at IFA, Berlin.
