Sony Xperia Z5 family being given price cuts already

Smartphones from the newly unveiled Sony Xperia Z5 range are still to begin shipping but they have already been granted price cuts by the Japanese in the UK. The pre-order costs of all three devices have been lowered, resulting in them having become all the more attractive propositions.

The Sony Xperia Z5 was being offered for pre-order by Sony Mobile UK at £600, while its Compact model and its Ultra HD (4K) display-equipped Premium variant were going for £550 and £700, respectively. Their retail values have now been brought down to £550 (Z5), £430 (Z5 Compact) and £630 (Z5 Premium). These costs are more in line with those being offered by Amazon and Clove in the UK.

Sony announced these offerings last week, much to the surprise of many owing to the Premium model’s 4K display. These phones are being highlighted by side-mounted fingerprint scanners that have been placed on their power buttons. They run the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and are controlled by Snapdragon 810 chipsets.
