Sony had created quite a storm at this year’s IFA by unveiling its Xperia Z5 range of smartphones that contained a Premium variant bearing a whopping 4K display. The Japanese company seems all set to bring its newest handsets into India, for it has announced an event that will take place on October 21.
Only the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Premium are expected to make their way into India at this gathering though, as the firm has confirmed that the Compact model will be giving in the country a miss. This has been echoed by the official company website which is only lists the other two smartphones under its ‘Coming Soon’ section.
It must be noted that Sony will be outing dual SIM variants of both these devices to better entice the customers in India. What’ll be really interesting to see is how the pricing of these two handsets is worked out by the firm.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is the first smartphone in the world to feature a 5.5-inch 4K display with a crazy resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels. The Xperia Z5 on the other hand opts for a 5.2-inch 1080p display. Both of them claim to offer 48 hours of battery life.
