There have been a lot of leaked Sony Xperia Z4 images over the past few months and each of them was different from the other. Well, it looks like the official press renders of the upcoming flagship smartphone have finally arrived as high resolution images have hit the web.
The latest images come from nowhereelse.fr which has been responsible for many other device leaks including the recent one on the LG G4. The press renders of the Sony Xperia Z4 look to be the rear deal and they offer a lot more information than you’d expect. First and foremost, the company’s OnmiBalance design hasn’t changed a lot.
The Sony flagship looks a lot like the previous model, but there are some welcoming upgrades. First and foremost, the upcoming handset will continue to deliver a water-resistant form factor. That being said, you’ll notice the microUSB port is on the bottom and not secured by a flap. This means you will not have to go through the hassle of carefully opening and closing flaps to charge your device, while making sure they don’t get damaged.
With this change, it looks like the company doesn’t see the need to have external magnetic charging pins like on the previous flagships. A second housing accompanies the USB port and is probably for a microphone or a lanyard. There is a single flap visible which will house the SIM tray and microSD card slot.
Here’s what we know about the Sony Xperia Z4’s specs:
– 5.1-inch FHD or QHD display
– Android 5.0 Lollipop
– 2GHz octa core 64-bit Snapdragon 810
– 3GB or 4GB RAM
– 21MP main camera
– 146 x 71.9 x 7.2mm dimensions
There’s really no saying when the Sony Xperia Z4 will go official, but we’ll be sure to update you with more information as and when available.
