Sony Xperia XZs set to land in India on April 4

Sony Xperia XZs

Sony’s started sending out media invites for an event on April 4 where it’ll be launching the Xperia XZs. The handset made its debut at the MWC 2017 last month alongside the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1, and Xperia XA1 Ultra.

The Xperia XZs is a slightly downgraded version of the flagship XZ Premium. It has the same advanced photography skills but packs a smaller 2900mAh battery, older Snapdragon 820 processor, and more compact 5.2-inch 1080p screen.

The 19MP rear camera is a key selling point for the Sony phone. It can apparently capture 960 frames per second, paving the path for super slow motion videos. This has come about thanks to the all-new Motion Eye system that packs a memory stacked Exmor RS sensor for faster data transfers and image scanning.

The module also boasts of a Predictive Capture feature that detects movement as a user is getting ready to shoot and buffers images in advance. It then clicks 4 photos in the seconds before the shutter button is pressed, allowing them the luxury of choosing between snaps.
