Sony Xperia XZs

Sony’s officially brought the Xperia XZs to India, slapping a premium Rs 49990 price tag on the smartphone. The handset is listed at an MRP of Rs 51990 on the brand’s website, so the aforementioned cost is likely the phone’s MOP.

The Xperia XZs will be available via Flipkart and offline outlets starting from April 11. Pre-orders commence from April 4 and will last till April 10. Early birds are set to get a Sony SRS-XB10 wireless Bluetooth speaker worth Rs 4990 for free.

To recall, Sony launched the Xperia XZs alongside 3 other phones namely the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1, and Xperia XA1 Ultra at the MWC in February 2017. The first is a somewhat downgraded version of the second, boasting of a more compact 5.2-inch full HD screen, slightly older Snapdragon 820 processor, and lesser capacity 2900mAh battery.

The one thing that hasn’t changed is the presence of Sony’s 19MP Motion Eye rear camera. The unit is apparently capable of shooting 960fps footage to allow for super slow motion videos. There’s also a new Predictive Capture tool which takes 4 photos in the split-second before the shutter button has been tapped, letting users choose the best photo.
