Sony recently made an appearance at the CES 2018 with 3 new smartphones in tow, none of which were its flagship phone. As it turns out, the so-called Xperia XZ Pro might be making its debut at the MWC 2018 next month instead.

That’s according to a new rumor out of China which suggests that the Xperia XZ Pro will be adopting a dual camera design. The module may consist of an 18MP lens with a 1.33um pixel size and a 12MP lens with a 1.38um pixel size. Sony’s known for its advanced photography offerings, so it’ll hopefully have something unique in store for the handset beyond the standard bokeh effects.

Selfie duties might be taken up by a 13MP snapper. Possibly powering it all is a Snapdragon 845 processor at the Xperia XZ Pro’s heart. The SoC is expected in a couple of other phones at the MWC 2018 like the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Xiaomi Mi 7, so Sony will have its work cut out for it to stand out.

This might come about via the 5.7-inch OLED screen adorning the front of the Xperia XZ Pro. Rumor has it that it’ll output a 4K resolution, like Sony smartphones in the past. A 3420mAh battery could provide the energy required to run the device.

Other expected specs include Android 8.0 Oreo, IP68 certifications against dust and water, dual-SIM support, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Sony might ask for CNY 6000 (roughly $937 or Rs 59720) in exchange for the phone, a pretty premium price tag. It’ll probably hit stores in June 2018 following its MWC 2018 appearance.
