The Sony Xperia Tablet S UK price and availability details suggest that the first Xperia slate is now available in the country along with the US. Variants with 16GB and 32GB storage capacity can be picked up through the online store, whereas the 16GB 3G version is yet to get an official release date.
The company hasn’t made an announcement, but Unwired View got wind of its UK availability through a post on the Xperia Blog. This Ice Cream Sandwich-based tablet acquires multitasking properties from 1GB RAM and the quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor that clocks in a speed of 1.3GHz. Its front panel houses a WXGA TFT LCD LED backlit screen with an anti-fingerprint surface which offers a multi-touch real estate of 9.4 inches. It renders visuals in 1280 x 800p resolution.
Furthermore, the Wi-Fi enabled slate has dimensions of 174.4 x 8.8 x 239.8 millimeters and tips the scales at around 585 grams. Besides an 8MP HD rear camera, it is equipped with a front-mounted 1MP webcam to facilitate capturing images, recording videos and making live face-to-face calls. The accompanying lithium-ion battery offers standard usage time of close to 12 hours on a single charge. Embedded with an SD card slot, the slab features a headphone jack for compatibility with common audio accessories.
