After the E1 and E1 Dual, Sony seems to be prepping up the Xperia M2 and M2 Dual for their India launch and even though it is not official, an e-retailer has listed the two devices. Price or other launch details have not been mentioned as yet, but interested users can enter their email ids in the dedicated slot for notifications regarding their availability.
The Sony Xperia M2 was introduced only recently at the MWC 2014 and falls under the mid-range category. Its exterior has dimensions of 139.6 x 71.1 x 8.6 millimeters which is big enough to support the device’s 4.8-inch TFT LCD capacitive 10-point touchscreen. Potential buyers can expect it to deliver visuals in 960 x 540p resolution.
To take care of all your photography needs, an 8MP camera as well as a VGA webcam have been tossed into the mix along with multiple attributes such as 1080p video recording, LED flash, HDR, image stabilizer, digital zoom and much more. It is based on the Android Jelly Bean 4.3 OS and should receive the KitKat update sometime in the near future.
And what’s more, the Sony smartphone integrates a 1.2GHz quad core processor and an Adreno 305 GPU, while 1GB of RAM has been deployed to maintain smooth multitasking. You can increase its 8GB onboard memory by up to 32GB with a little assistance from a microSD card. The handset is powered by a 2300mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia M2 and M2 Dual are listed on Saholic (2), but without availability details.
