Updating its portfolio of Walkman-branded devices, the Sony Walkman B170 series MP3 players just went official. These newly unveiled audio gadgets feature a Bass Boost button and are expected to launch in 2GB and 4GB models by the end of this month.
Said to be an ideal companion for traveling, the music player range flaunts a lightweight form factor and a compact design. To compliment these features, the device weighs around 28 grams. The updated Walkman B series is equipped with the Bass Boost button, which is claimed to deliver rich and low-end audio for an enriched listening experience. What’s more, each gadget houses a color-matched LED that apparently pulses in rhythm with the music.
Besides holding the capability of delivering up to 18 hours of music playback once fully juiced up, Sony states that an activity life of around 90 minutes is derivable through a 3-minute charge. With the attached clip, users can conveniently carry the player around by simply hooking it onto a belt or their clothes. For transferring songs to the gadget, this Walkman series can be plugged into any Windows-powered PC through the built-in USB port, without the need of any software or extra cables. Additionally, the drag-and-drop feature is said to make copying files much simpler. Being compatible with various types of systems, users can listen to their favorite songs by simply plugging it into any Hi-Fi or car stereo.
The Sony Walkman B170 series price details aren’t disclosed at the moment. Although, these MP3 players will be available sometime this month in 2GB as well as 4GB variants and color options of black, blue, gold pink or red.
