Sony has introduced the Vaio FZ laptop. The new launch integrates Intel’s latest Santa Rosa chipset.
The Vaio FZ weighs below 3kg (6lbs), and is designed to maximize its 15.4-inch widescreen display.
Split into two lines, the FZ premium model will also have an HDMI connector so you can connect to a high-definition television and output Blu-ray movies.
Sony’s new laptop incorporates the LocationFree(R) software to enable you to “place-shift” live TV, access your personal video recorder or DVD player, and view that content on your notebook via the Internet (base station and broadband connectivity required).
Further more, it packs an Intel Centrino Duo processor and integrated 802.11n wireless LAN. Other features include an integrated camera and microphone and ExpressCard slot.

While the lower-end model of the Vaio FZ series will start at $1400 (approx. Rs. 57, 000), the higher-end model, packed with a Blu-ray burner, will cost $2000 (approx. Rs. 81, 600). The Vaio FZ series of laptops by Sony will also have a limited warranty and onsite service for one year.
