The Sony Vaio Flip 11A which was showcased by the company a month ago, has hit availability status in the US already. This convertible laptop which has grabbed hold of the much in demand Yoga-like design approach is being doled out at a reasonable price of $799.
The Windows 8-focused device features an 11.6-inch full HD IPS touchscreen display which can be flipped completely to turn it into a tablet of sorts. In laptop mode, a backlit keyboard and a large clickable touchpad ensure proper input, whereas in tablet mode, an optional Active Pen can also be grabbed by interested parties.
The Sony Vaio Flip 11A comes equipped with the Intel Pentium N3520 processor which has been clocked at 2.16GHz. Moreover, it grabs Intel HD Graphics, 4GB worth of RAM and 128GB worth of SSD storage. This convertible comes pre-installed with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12, and it even features NFC connectivity.
A 64-bit copy of Windows 8.1 is present as default on the Sony Vaio Flip 11A, whereas its other software chunks include VAIO Care, PlayMemories Home, ArtRage Studio and trial versions of Microsoft Office and Kaspersky Internet Security.
Like we said, the Sony Vaio Flip 11A is available to buy only in the US right now, and there’s no word as to when it will be hitting other markets. We’ll have more on the matter when concrete details are out.
