The Sony Vaio Duo 11 Hybrid Ultrabook has arrived with its price in India, tempting potential buyers to get a taste of the latest offerings from the newest Intel-inspired lineup. This convertible device is equipped with the company’s Surf Slider design which conveniently allows users to switch between a laptop and a tablet form factor.
The notebook was officially unveiled by Sony in the US last month and it falls under the same category as the ThinkPad Twist and IdeaPad Yoga. For India, the Hybrid laptop comes in only one configuration option. When in slate mode, users will be able to operate the device as any normal tablet and for a more notebook like experience, switching to the Ultrabook layout introduces an 83-key backlit keyboard and an optical trackpad.
Fitted within its sleek and lightweight design is a Core i5 3317U processor with a base frequency of 1.7GHz and HD Graphics 4000. The laptop is equipped with a HM76 Express Chipset and it packs in 4GB of DDR3L SDRAM. Visuals are delivered through an 11.6-inch FHD Vaio display that houses an OptiContrast panel. Where memory is concerned, users will have 128GB of hoarding capacity, a Memory Stick Duo slot and a SDXC compatible memory card port. The notebook is also bundled with a digitizer stylus and dual FHD cameras.
With the included Li-ion battery, the laptop can deliver approximately 4.5 hours of activity. Users will be able to extend the overall life by opting for a second power pack to get a total of 9 hours on a single charge. The device arrives pre-loaded with a trial version of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, PlayMemories Home, Intel Anti-Theft Service, 60 days of Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security, Skype and Fresh Paint.
The Sony Vaio Duo 11 Hybrid Ultrabook will be available in India for an MRP of Rs. 89,990. The laptop is expected to go up for grabs by the end of December and it will be available through authorized dealers across the country. The convertible is already on sale in the US for $1,099.99 and above. Sony is offering it in only one shade that’s gunmetal.
