Allowing users to conveniently view notifications and carry out certain tasks straight from their wrists’ is the Sony SmartWatch. This Android-optimized accessory is affixed with a $149.99 price and it comes in a durable form factor, filled with a wide catalog of offerings.
Built around dimensions of 1.42 X 1.42 X 0.3 inches, the device is apparently capable of notifying users by sending out a vibration and an on-screen alert during events like incoming calls, emails and texts. This is done by transferring data to and from the smartphone over Bluetooth, on a timely basis. Besides displaying messages, users will be able to view updates from social networking sites like Facebook as well as Twitter and control the music player application and the camera to snap up images from afar.

In addition to the included black wristband, users will have options of 5 more shades such as pink, white, mint, grey and blue. It even comes with a rear mounted clip that can be utilized for attaching the device onto different types of clothing or a belt. The watch-shaped gadget is said to be compatible with most handsets running on the Android 2.1 platform. The battery life derivable is estimated to be approximately 4 days.
