While no one seen the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1 coming, we’re almost near to cracking the case about the upcoming Sony Sirius flagship. A new rumor has surfaced highlighting a few more specifications and even proposing that the device will carry the Xperia Z2 moniker along with the C770x model number.
What we know so far is that the smartphone will arrive with a 5.2-inch display, but no resolution has been mentioned. Also, the handset is expected to carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974AB processor which is a slightly faster version compared to the one in use in the flagship Z1. According to new information received by AndroidSAS from a ‘reliable’ source, the smartphone will feature a 1520 x 1440p touchscreen.
Additionally, the Xperia Z1 successor which might be known as the Z2, will be equipped with the 20.7MP Sony G Lens camera and a large 3700mAh battery. The Japanese conglomerate will also implement its new display technologies such as Bravia Engine 3 and a modified X-Reality for mobile. Well, these are all the details we’ve got for now on the Xperia Z2 Sirius. A new flagship tablet is also said to be in the works under the codename Castor. The device is likely to have similar hardware as the upcoming handset.
In other news, the newly launched Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1 smartphones have been priced for Europe. According to Xperia Blog, the former will be tagged at €399, while the latter will have a RRP of €129, €139 and €149 in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, respectively. These retail amounts are for the single SIM models. Both smartphones are expected to go on sale across Europe this spring.
