Perhaps to calm down gamers eagerly awaiting the E3, the Sony Pulse Wireless Stereo headset – Elite Edition has been announced to give them an overview of what lies in store. The PlayStation accessory should work towards ‘amplifying the audio experience’ as it has been deployed with the BassImpact technology, says the official PlayStation blog.
Basically, this BassImpact technology is responsible for converting bass sound into pulses around the headphones’ earpads. In order to let gamers have an upper hand in the game, the company has also included 7.1 virtual surround sound along with the aforementioned technology, for an improved acoustic experience.
“Before we get to the big week, we’ve decided to curb your appetite by giving you a sneak peak at the newest addition to the PlayStation accessories family. Last year we introduced the Official PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset, and this year we’re amplifying your audio experience with the brand new Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset – Elite Edition, featuring ‘BassImpact’ technology,” states a post on the official PlayStation blog.
And if that’s not enough, this Elite Edition audio gear retains most features of its predecessor, the Wireless Stereo headset. These comprise high fidelity speaker drivers to render good quality sound and hidden noise cancelling microphones that facilitate clear voice chat with fellow gamers, even in noisy surroundings.
Moreover, the Sony peripheral boasts of Preset modes for movies, some gaming genres and music. Besides the PS3, it is compatible with the PS Vita and even a number of handheld devices or MP3 players as it sports a 3.5mm jack. It also comes packaged along with an auxiliary cable.
The Sony Pulse Wireless Stereo headset- Elite Edition price is tagged at $149.99 and it is expected to hit store shelves this fall.
