Sony has been the biggest source of unwittingly leaked information on the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and it’s not like the company’s providing them on record. Instead, we’ve unexpectedly been seeing traces of the tablet in documents and teaser images, with the latest one apparently showing up on the brand’s very own website.
According to Xperia Blog, a reference to the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was spotted on the product page for the Xperia Z2 Tablet, more specifically the collapsible Display tile under the Features tab. Well, the website has been updated to show the original text, but here’s a screenshot as proof.
Seeing as the tablet was previously spotted in a user manual for an accessory then later teased in an image along with the upcoming smartwatch and now this, could Sony be intentionally dropping these tidbits on the upcoming tablet? Maybe, but we’re more convinced that it’s just being clumsy with keeping the details under wraps.

Thanks to these previous leaks, we know that the slate will be water-resistant and offer LTE connectivity along with high-end features. A report surfaced a few days back claiming to have received the hardware details via a tip. It made no mention of the screen size, but suggested that the device would carry features similar to that of the current 10.1-inch tablet.
Here are the leaked Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact specs:
– 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 SOC
– 3GB RAM, 16GB storage
– 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0
– Wireless charging
– 8MP Exmor RS rear camera
