Sony Micro Vault MACH 1

The Sony Micro Vault Mach USB 3.0 flash drive has been unveiled and is expected to release by the end of this month. The device claims to be the first of its kind from the company, to be embedded with the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology.

Boasting of a sleek form factor, the device will be available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. The USB drive sports an aluminum body and has been designed to withstand bumps to make it durable and long-lasting. Furthermore, the storage solution comes complete with a retractable click mechanism, which not only protects the USB drive, but also makes it easily portable.

The Micro Vault Mach provides maximum read and write speeds of 120MB per second and 90MB per second, respectively. The gadget sports an indicator which lights up to let users know that the transfer is taking place. Plus, it is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 and can even be used with systems that don’t support the USB 3.0 standard. The Sony drive aims to deliver ‘ultra-fast transfers,’ making it suitable for regular users as well as business folks who are constantly on the move.

The device works with software such as File Rescue and x–Pict Story to deliver an enhanced performance. The former aids in recovering content that has accidentally been deleted from the drive, making it easy to retrieve important data. The latter option allows for creating automated photo presentation by employing the images saved on the drive.

The Sony Micro Vault Mach USB 3.0 flash drive is expected to arrive this month with a standard five-year warranty in tow.
