Sony Ericsson fans now have the freedom to personalize their phone with their very own mobile themes. The company recently unveiled the new Themes Creator 4.0 that lets users customize the display of their phone to suit their mood or style.

Users can let their creativity flow as they show off their interests right on their phone’s desktop. In a snap, mobile owners can fashion their mobile desktop through their very own themes in a rather simple and exciting way.

The Themes Creator 4.0 is bundled with many innovative features that should keep users involved. This latest version enables users to fabricate their signature style without any hassles.

“With Themes Creator 4.0, you can use your phone as an extension of your personal style,” mentioned Christopher David, Head of Developer and Partner Engagement at Sony Ericsson. “It’s designed to enable you to make eye-catching themes that you can show off to your friends. You can now treat your mobile desktop as a place to experiment and show your creative flair!”

With a choice of dynamic and intuitive animations, the new application finds its roots on the Adobe Flash technology. The creations vary depending on the time of the day with appearances even changing according to the seasons. Users can even alter the color to a signal that indicates low battery power.

A users’ mobile desktop can be customized in three simple steps. The first is selecting the color scheme using automatic color combinations, color wheel tool or import saved color palettes. Next users need to import any background image or animation for standby wallpaper, desktop and navigation screens and finally the style can be selected with pre-defined shapes and screen areas

The suite is available as a free download through the Sony Ericsson site. Users can also choose to experiment with vibrant colors with the incorporation of the Adobe Kuler.
