The recently announced Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V DSC-WX70 and DSC-WX50 compact cameras will be arriving to expand the company’s growing lineup. It was only earlier this month that we reported about the DSC-W610, W620 and W650 Cyber-shot being launched.
Now three other snappers have been introduced by the company to provide ardent photographers with more options to choose from in the Cyber-shot range. First, we have the high end camera from the new lot which is the DSC-TX200V. This device comes embedded with an 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor. Draped with a glass design, the offering has been fitted with a 3.3-inch Xtra Fine TruBlack OLED wide touchscreen display to view and manage content.
Dipped in shades of silver, red, and violet, the TX200V sports a 26mm equivalent lens capable of offering 5x optical zoom. The device can also render up to 10x virtual zoom with the help of the integrated Clear Image Zoom technology. This dust-, water- and freeze-proof gadget comes with full HD video shooting capabilities and picture effects as well as an Optical SteadyShot Active mode.
“We continue to innovate in the compact camera space, finding new ways to help consumers produce high-quality photos and videos as easily as possible, regardless of lighting conditions,” shares Yosuke Tomoda, director of the Cyber-shot business at Sony Electronics. “With new technologies designed to improve the overall imaging experience – including extended creativity, control and more – this new lineup of Cyber-shot cameras delivers impressive results with stylish, pocket-sized bodies.”
Then we have the DSC-WX70 and the DSC-WX50 gadgets which share the same features, more or less. One major difference between the two being that the former sports a 3-inch 921k dot LCD touchscreen, while the latter is fitted with a standard 2.7-inch LCD screen. Each of these 16.2MP devices, just like their counterpart, brings picture effects, Optical SteadyShot Active mode and full HD video recording capabilities amongst other features.
Both snappers are incorporated with 25mm equivalent lenses that boast of 5x optical zoom and 10x virtual zoom. The WX70 will arrive drenched in black, pink, silver and violet hues along with the latter which should be available in silver and black colors. All of the three gadgets are expected to be bundled with the LCS-WM and LCS-THT soft carrying cases.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V, DSC-WX70 and DSC-WX50 price details sum up to be about $500, $230 and $200, respectively. These cameras are said to be hitting Sony retail stores and the company’s online portal by March this year.
