Sony begins rolling out Jelly Bean 4.3 software update for Xperia SP, T, TX and V

The Sony Xperia SP, T, TX and V smartphones are finally receiving the Jelly Bean 4.3 software update. It already started rolling out for the Xperia SP earlier this week, says a post on the official blog. Back in January, the Japanese company had announced via its Twitter handle that the firmware can be expected to touch down sometime in January end or early February.

Sony has integrated its Xperia software with Google’s new platform and you will be glad to know that some new features will be coming to your gadget along with the update. Jelly Bean 4.3 itself will tag along Project Butter performance and an optimized user interface. An improved graphical experience is also in the offing.

Along with the software, the conglomerate has decided to update all of its native applications as well. Thus, you will find new versions of message, TrackID, Smart Connect, Sony Select, Small apps and more. The other utilities like Walkman, Album and Movies are getting an improved UI and Sony Entertainment Network cloud service integration.

Additionally, Xperia Themes will be available for these devices and multiple UI packs can be downloaded via Sony Select. Apart from Android’s security enhancements, Sony’s Xperia in Business is coming to the aforementioned phones for protecting data saved on the gadgets. And as the Battery Stamina mode has been updated, users can expect better power management as well.

Like we said, the Android Jelly Bean 4.3 software update has already started rolling out for the Sony Xperia SP, T, TX and V smartphones. Its availability may vary based on markets and carriers, says the company.
