Sony aims at Energy Conservation and Efficiency with the new BRAVIA JE1 series

Sony introduces its new BRAVIA JE1 series (KDL-32JE1) which offers very high level of energy efficiency. The new 32-inch digital LCD televisions enhance the efficiency of backlight tube light emission as well as light transmissions of optical film. The KDL-32JE1 is a 32-inch WXGA 1366×768 display and comes with HDMI interface, contrast ratio of 2500:1 and digital TV tuner.

The KDL-32JE1 is said to reduce the annual power consumption to 86kWh/year and helps achieve energy efficiency rate of 232%. Compared to the earlier products, Sony is reported to have increased the use of flame-retardant plastic materials. With a genuine effort towards conservation of energy and eco-friendly environment, the Bravia LCD TVs will use recycled materials.

KDL-32JE1 has fluorescent tubes which have the capability to deliver higher luminance efficiency at low electric voltage. It uses an optical film which has a higher light transmission rate. Thus it maintains the same brightness while improving the energy efficiency.

Apart from the high quality image, easy-to-use and an excellent design, it also includes the first ever radio frequency remote control. This remote control works on the 2.4 GHz wireless communication technology. The KDL-32JE1 is priced at $1,389 USD.
