Here’s how you can give the middle finger to someone on WhatsApp

Expressing anger can be difficult sometimes when you’re texting someone on WhatsApp or any other messaging app. At such occasions, emoji come to the rescue, but none of them are as cool as the new middle finger emoji that happens to be hidden inside the Android version of the Facebook-owned application.

The usual emoji menu does not contain this new insult gesture. You will need to copy it from somewhere and paste in WhatsApp in order to send it to someone. The fun will begin when they enter their own emoji menu to send it back to you only to find out that it’s not available.

Of course, they can forward back the emoji that you sent with a little presence of mind but let’s hope they don’t. Anyway, it should be noted that the middle finger emoji will not be visible on a device running the version of WhatsApp that’s live on the Play Store right now.

As pointed out by Android Police, you will need to download the latest version in the form of an APK or wait until it reaches Google’s platform officially. If you wish to do the former, here’s the link from where you can download the latest APK file and install it on your devices.

Now that you’re ready with the newest version of WhatsApp, you will need to copy the middle finger emoji from somewhere. If you’re reading this on your PC, you need to open the same article on your smartphones and head to the middle finger emojipedia page or the graphemica page.

You should get to see the middle finger emoji there, but chances are you’ll just be seeing an empty box. It shouldn’t matter though; just copy and paste it in your WhatsApp typing box and you’re good to go for some virtual display of rage.
