Google Chrome 12 with enhanced security and privacy revealed

Chrome 12 3D CSS Experiment

So Facebook doesn’t seem to care – but we’d be ignorant if we said privacy is among our least worries when online. A step away, the new and improved Google Chrome 12 browser revealed a couple of days back is said to be more secure and takes care of user privacy while also bringing in enhanced graphics.

According to the official Chrome blog, the browser is more secure now. Specifically, it’s the Safe Browsing technology that’s been improved. Not only will Chrome safeguard users from some malware and phishing sites, but it will also forewarn users when downloading certain malicious types of files.

In addition to this, users can now also anticipate having more control over the data that websites may store on their computers. This is inclusive of Flash Player’s Local Shared Objects. Working closely with Adobe, Flash LSO deletion has been incorporated right into Chrome, allowing easier management of online privacy.

Google Chrome 12 also comes with improved graphic abilities too. There’s also support for hardware-accelerated 3D CSS which should be seen in particular by users who visit web pages and apps implementing 3D effects.

Users will be updated to Google Chrome 12 automatically soon while the list of improvements too continues to expand.
