Google Maps Hotpot Tweet

We’ve already been able to access turn-by-turn GPS navigation with voice guidance, explore maps in 3D and find nearby places with Google Maps. The company now offers Android users the ability to tweet Hotpot ratings in Google Maps for a better experience.

With this, users can share their reviews on places and valuable recommendations with their followers on Twitter directly from their Android handset. While rating employing Google’s rating widget, users are required to choose ‘Post review to Twitter’ and connect their Twitter account. They’ll get a preview of their tweet and the ability to post ratings and reviews moving forward.

In addition to this, one can also ping their Latitude friends without having to text or place a call. This way, their amigos will receive an Android notification asking them to check in at a place. Following this, users will be notified once friends have checked in using their request.

Users can even check themselves in at the right place by taking advantage of the ‘Search more places’ button.

In order to start posting Hotpot ratings to Twitter and pinging Latitude friends, users can simply download Google Maps 5.2 from Android Market. To notify, the use of ‘ping’ feature will call for version 5.2 by both Latitude friends.
