We’ve lost count of the number of applications and games that have been hitting the App Store for iPad. Amazon has proclaimed the availability of the Kindle App for Apple’s iPad. The app features Amazon’s Whispersync technology and offers users access to more than 4,50,000 books from the Kindle Store.
The app is designed to fit the expansive screen size of the iPad. It automatically syncs with Kindle or Kindle-compatible devices which means that users can pick up where they left off whether they started reading on the Kindle, iPad or Mac. Amazon’s Whispersync technology syncs the user’s last page read, notes and bookmarks. They can customize their reading experience with three different background colors, adjustable font size and color. The app allows users to dim the iPad’s screen according to the ambient lighting conditions.
