Microsoft has released free “Office Accounting Express 2007,” a financial management software developed for early start-ups and home-based businesses.
Office Accounting Express 2007 comprises of desktop software available as free download, and seven integrated online services.
According to Microsoft, the software and services together will allow businesses to exploit the power of the internet to sell products online, send and receive payments electronically, process payroll, run credit reports, and more, from within their accounting application.
The Accounting Express 2007 software download will be available completely free, while third-party integrated premium online services will be available for additional fees. Small-business owners can download Office Accounting Express 2007 free at http://www.ideawins.com.
According to Microsoft, IdeaWins is a campaign that highlights how Office Accounting Express 2007 can help small businesses take the hassle out of financial and business management, and spend more time making such ideas a reality.
In addition, Microsoft announced that it will launch Office Accounting Professional 2007, the updated version of ‘Small Business Accounting 2006’. The updated version will offer additional features, such as business dashboard, cash flow management tools, purchase and sales orders, job costing, a wider variety of financial reports, and the ability to connect to Microsoft Dynamics Point-of-Sale.
The Office Accounting Professional 2007 will be available in early 2007 for an estimated retail price of approximately $149 (Rs 6,700).
