UK-based NetSupport, provider of software packages to manage and support local and Wide Area Computer Networks has launched NetSupport School 8.5 (NSS). NetSupport School 8.5 is the latest version of its classroom management software, which helps teachers and trainers to instruct, monitor, quiz and support students in networked classrooms.

The latest update of NetSupport School includes student auto login, new group features, new testing options, Internet co-browsing and many enhancements, which are designed to maximize the productivity of computer users in the computer lab.

“The need for teachers to efficiently manage their networked classrooms is growing exponentially,” said Marcus Kingsley, Group Sales and Marketing Director of NetSupport. “With NetSupport School, teachers and trainers can improve the efficiency of the teaching process by centrally instructing students on their computer, keep students on task by monitoring application and Web usage, improve support through online help and chat requests, and save time by using the automated lesson plan suite to test the class and show instant results within the allotted class time period.”

Basically, the NSS software is a classroom tool that enables teachers to train students in the computer lab in a simple yet effective way. Now with NSS 8.5, teachers and trainers can make sure that students in the computer lab are making progress on their assigned tasks by using only approved applications and visiting only approved web sites.

NSS 8.5 includes new features such as enhanced sow and monitor modes for sharper presentation in the classroom. Instructors can also leave a copy of the lesson on computers of students for future review and reference. This helps to increase the student comprehension. Besides, extra options for exam questions offer more flexibility when teachers plan their lessons.

Furthermore, teachers and trainers can also record all screen, mouse and keyboard activity on a student workstation, so that it can be reviewed later or even replayed to the class. The NetSupport School 8.5 software allows teachers to make the most of the computer lab equipment that they are already provided with.
