T-Mobile USA has announced the general availability of the new T-Mobile Sidekick LX. which incorporates a number of enhancements that were not present in its predecessors. Also announced is the Sidekick Slide which will be available later this Fall.
According to Jeff Hopper, vice president of marketing, T-Mobile USA, “T-Mobile Sidekick customers are an amazingly loyal and enthusiastic group that are passionate about their phones and being the hub of their social circle.”
The new Sidekick LX device that has been design by Sharp, features a thinner, smoother profile, a large WQVGA screen that incorporates high definition LCD technology and a swivel display as well.
Other salient features of the Sidekick LX include a camera with flash, multimedia messaging and a mood light that lets users set specific light settings for various communication alerts whether a text message, phone call or email.
“The new Sidekick LX is a true upgrade that this group will love, with new features that our customers have been craving. The Sidekick Nation promotion also gives our customers, who already send us fun and creative videos about the Sidekick, an outlet to show off how much they love their device,” Jeff Hopper added.
The Sidekick LX mobile device is available in a midnight blue or espresso brown finish.
Sidekick Slide, which has been designed Motorola, on the other hand features a smaller design that the Sidekick LX. The Sidekick Slide features a slide up QVGA screen, a compact QWERTY keyboard, full Sidekick messaging technology and a black finish with deep purple accents.
The T-Mobile Sidekick LX device is immediately available, whereas the Sidekick Slide device will hit stores in Fall 2007.
