The world’s thinnest auto-focus 5-megapixel CMOS camera module RJ63SC100 for mobile phones has been unveiled. And the credit for this breakthrough innovation goes to Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp Corp. The company has developed a new flat screen incorporating high density packaging technology for the latest auto-focus CMOS.
The S/N ratio is enhanced by 1.6 times, enabling devices equipped with the module to capture high-resolution sharp and clear images.
Measuring 9.5x 9.5x 6.6 mm, the CMOS module’s sample shipment will kick off from May 30 and the production will begin from June 30, 2008. The company is aiming at a monthly production target of turning out 400,000 units.
