Second coming of Moto E delayed due to heavy traffic, Flipkart working on fix [Update]

Update: The device seems to have been made available again now. You can buy it here.

Original Story: The Moto E was supposed to be restocked on Flipkart today at 11am, but the site started behaving quite weirdly around that time. Customers reported crashes were apparently due to heavy traffic. Following the fiasco, the retailer has assured eager buyers that the phone will be back online ‘ASAP.’

The Moto E was launched in India on May 14 exclusively through Flipkart and it went out of stock within just two days. It was yesterday that the e-commerce site announced that stocks of the handset will be replenished today at 11am, and although that went according to plan, most of the hopeful buyers weren’t able to place their orders on the site.

Reports of the Moto E having gone out of stock again started surfacing as well, but Flipkart cleared out the confusion through the above embedded tweet. It appears that this ultra-affordable gadget could hit availability status any moment now.

Such a high demand has ensued for the smartphone due to its incredible value-for-money offerings. At Rs 6,999, you’ll be getting a phone bearing the latest Android software, a dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage which is expandable up to 32GB.

We’ll update this post as soon as Flipkart manages to fix the issues with the Motorola Moto E, so stay tuned.
