The Samsung Galaxy A7 has made its way to India, just a week after it got launched in South Korea. Its main claim to fame is the fact that it has three cameras at the back, a first for the company.
Surprisingly, Samsung is debuting this innovation on a mid-range phone. The Galaxy A7 starts at Rs 23990 for its 4GB/64GB variant and ends at Rs 28990 for its 6GB/128GB option. It’ll have to battle against the Rs 20999 Poco F1 at this price range. The Xiaomi phone offers a faster Snapdragon 845 processer, but lacks Widevine L1 certification to stream videos in HD.
Samsung Galaxy A7 Triple Cameras
The Galaxy A7 comes with Widevine L1 certification and adds an extra camera to give it a competitive edge. The setup consists of 24MP + 8MP + 5MP lenses. The main 24MP autofocus f/1.7 sensor handles photos with the help of Pixel Binning to combine four pixels into a single ‘Super Pixel’ for clearer images in low light conditions.
The secondary 5MP depth sensor lets users adjust the depth of field before and after taking a picture. The third 8MP sensor has a 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens to expand the scope of the camera. Samsung’s also thrown in AR Emoji and Pro-Lighting features to turn faces into emoji and add lighting effects to snaps, respectively.
