The upcoming low-end Tizen OS-based Samsung phone which is known only by its model number Z130H, seems to be approaching its launch date now. Set to be made available in India first, the device has just been spotted on a user agent profile from the company’s website.
This new development has been brought to our notice by Gizmobic which has reiterated that the phone will be an entry-level affair, and whatever specs of it we know so far, point towards the same. The Samsung Z130H apparently bears inside it a 32-bit 1.2GHz ARMv7 processor.
It will be seen showcasing its visuals on a small 4-inch 480p display, while the above mentioned website also tells us that a 3.2MP camera can be expected to form part of its offerings as well. We had recently come across proof of shipments of a number of Z130H devices arriving in India.
Samsung has been trying since long to make its Tizen OS a success, but the software has always failed in its bid to become mainstream. Earlier this year, the company came up with the Z which happened to be the first ever smartphone running the operating system, but the device was quickly discontinued by the company without giving any reason for it.
It was a proper mid-range offering that was furnished with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display and a 2.3GHz quad core processor. Apart from 16GB of expandable storage, it also grabbed 2GB worth of RAM. Its cameras included 8MP and 2.1MP units sitting on its rear and front surfaces, respectively.
The Samsung Z130H is expected to go on sale in India this December at a very low price. Stay tuned for more news on it, if you’re interested in the device.
