As expected, Samsung’s finally made its Tizen-powered Z2 official after the phone kept rumor mills spinning for months. The handset will hit availability on August 29 through Paytm and physical outlets across India.
Interestingly, Samsung claims it built the Z2 at its R&D center in Bengaluru. The smartphone certainly tries its best to cater to Indian needs, with the company hoping it converts feature phone users to smartphone consumers. To that end, the brand’s Tizen OS comes with a Smart Tutor app which acts as a personal assistant to help first-time users navigate the phone.
Moreover, Samsung has also introduced a brand new India-specific My Money Transfer app which allows owners to transfer amounts without the need for an internet connection. The South Korean manufacturer is also looking to cater to the masses by blessing the handset with support for over 12 regional languages.
