Samsung India has announced the availability of its latest advanced “Bordeaux” series of LCD TVs in India. The TVs are available in 3 different screen sizes of 26″ (LA 26R7), 32″ (LA32R7) and 40″ (LA 40R7). The USPs of the Bordeaux range is its picture performance and high fidelity sound along with its superior design.
The Bordeaux range claims to feature the cleanest of designs with high gloss coating on the front, back and stand. It also claims to house the world’s first hidden bar type speakers that are invisibly installed in the lower front area. The speakers are non-obtrusive and comfortably reproduce the sound.
The Bordeaux LCD range promises crisp, striking and more vibrant images with a dynamic contrast ratio of 5000:1 and an extensive color palette featuring 12.8 billion colours. For next-gen gamers, these TVs would be a great buy as it can also be optimized for gaming at the touch of a button, which allows for H-sharpness and faster response time in games. The three models are priced at Rs 69,990 for the LA 26R7 (26″), Rs 96,990 for the LA 32R7 (32″) and Rs 1,55,990 for the LA 40R7 (40″).
Samsung also unveiled its Home Theatre HT-XQ100 along with the Boredeaux range of LCDs. The home theatre system looks sleek and features a streamlined design that the company’s R&D team specially crafted to aesthetically match the Boredeaux series of LCDs. The HT-XQ100 features USB Plug and Play, HDMI out for digital signal transmission, wireless ready, DVD Audio/Video, MP3, WMA and JPEG disc playback. Samsung has also made the HT-XQ100 an attractive buy by announcing a special combination price for its Boredeaux range with the Home Theatre system during the FIFA 06. The special packages will be available between June 1 and July 15, 2006.
The new offerings are priced at Rs. 69,990 for LA 26R7 (26-inch), Rs. 96,990 for LA32R7 (32-inch) and Rs. 1.56 lakh for LA 40R7 (40-inch).
During the World Cup Soccer period, the company is offering a ‘Triple Zero’ (Zero processing fee, zero interest and zero dealer buy down) finance offer on its entire LCD range. “Our new, enhanced LCD range coupled with our attractive finance offer available on the LCD range during the Soccer period, should incentivize consumers to enjoy the thrill of the Soccer game, live on their Samsung LCD TVs. We are expecting a 30% jump in our CTV sales during the May-June period this year over corresponding period last year”, said R Zutshi, Deputy MD, Samsung India.
