Samsung India has rolled out five new mobile phones in the Indian subcontinent. Samsung SGH i450, SGH G800, i550, D880, J210 are the new handsets that have been introduced in the country. Gracing the launch event was well-known Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who has now also been named as the Brand Ambassador for Samsung’s mobile phones in India.
First in the list is Samsung SGH i450, which features a 3D surround sound powered by ICE Power amplifiers by Bang & Olufsen, rendering a whole new Mobile Theater experience. The i450 uses a Music wheel and Dual-Slider form factor, making the task of storing, accessing and juggling music as simple as saying 1-2-3. The Samsung i450 handset carries a price tag of Rs. 15,000.
The Samsung SGH G800 includes a 5MP resolution camera with 3x optical zoom. Priced at Rs. 21,799, the phone bundles key features like face detection, Xenon flash and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).
Ideal for business customers, the Samsung i550 is powered by Symbian S60 operating system and bundles an integrated GPS Receiver and five hot keys offered for music, camera, navigation, internet and main menu. It packs in a trackball which enables a 360 degrees movement on the screen for navigation and selection. Featuring a 3MP camera, the i550 has the ability to support Bluetooth audio streaming. It is priced at approx. Rs. 25,000.
Samsung D880 is a Dual GSM Sim phone that includes a 3.2MP camera, 2.3-inch Wide LCD screen, Bluetooth and Stereo FM radio. It comes at Rs. 13,799.
A 2MP camera with FM recording, microSD memory card expansion and Bluetooth music streaming (A2DP profile) are the key features of the Samsung J210 handset. It comes at Rs. 6,649.
All the five newly introduced mobile phones should be available for purchase in around a week’s time.
