Samsung has unleashed its latest SC-MX20 digital compact camcorder in the US market. A special recording mode for YouTube or multi-media devices is the salient attribute of the new camcorder, due to which it is expected to draw attention of many youngsters.

The Web & Mobile mode automatically adjusts resolution to 640×480, so that users can directly upload the videos on YouTube or multi-media devices. Also it facilitates users to import videos to MP3 players and other portable multimedia players supporting H.264, and play it without having to convert the files.

Apart from that, the SC-MX20 camcorder features iCheck and iScene modes. The iCheck feature allows users to check remaining battery life and memory capacity with the touch of a button. While, the iScene enables users to select up to 10 automatic scene modes for capturing the best footage.

The Samsung SC-MX20 features 680K pixel CCD sensor, delivering a resolution of 720×480. Moreover it boasts powerful Schneider lens with 34x optical zoom and advanced noise reduction (3-D Noise Reduction) technology which will provide stunning video quality.

On the other hand Samsung’s improved Advanced Image Stabilization will enable blur-free videos. Besides, the SC-MX20 is features Face Detection technology that can automatically detect up to five faces and adjust the focus to ensure better composition.

For storing videos, the SC-MX20 is compatible with SD/SDHC slot for up to 32GB also it features MMC+ memory cards and utilizes H.264 compression for longer record times and enhanced video quality. The H.264 technology doubles the compression ratio and hence transferring the files take lesser time.

Moreover, the Samsung camcorder incorporates a 2.7 inch LCD display that helps users to compose the frame and review their footage. Swivel hand-grip is another advantage. It adjusts for regular and low angle shooting.

Samsung SC-MX20 camcorder is scheduled to be available in August 2008 at the estimated price of $279.99. It will be available in black, red, white, and blue colors.
