Samsung Lucido smartphone launched

Samsung Lucido S7220 phone Samsung officially gets the wraps of its latest smartphone called the Lucido also dubbed as the Eltz 7220 mobile phone. That’s right! If Unwired View is to be believed, the stylish phone is in fact the very same Samsung Eltz 7220 that was spotted in the wild about a month ago.

The Samsung Lucido phone gets its name from the Italian word for sleek thanks to its candybar form factor. Sporting a 2.2-inch QVGA AMOLED display, the new smartphone is equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera that is complete with an auto focus function.

With support for FM radio, the phone also includes a built-in accelerometer and a microSD memory card slot. The Lucido phone also supports A-GPS navigation through Google Maps. Boasting of an ultra-slim body, the S7220 phone is just about 114 x 46.3 x 11.8mm in dimensions.

In addition to this, the phone also includes a range of connectivity options like Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), 900/1200 UMTS and 7.2 Mbps HSDPA. Besides, the phone also offers support for Bluetooth 2.1 EDR and USB 2.0.

While there are no details on the price of the Samsung Lucido, it is expected to start shipping in the UK around April, 2009.
